New comic about One Piece is just about finished. Waiting on a dang stapler to saddle stitch the dang thing. I'll be releasing them at Trash Land Zine Fest Sunday, July 12th. The comic is my take on the reveal of the big bad in One Piece and how I imagine his powers would work. Total fan fic.
Shop is up and running and work continues to get done on this website. It's exciting to see how this webpage changes as I learn more of the fun things that web pages can do. Here's to the webpages of the early 2000's!

Jason Kauzlarich from Fangoria wrote a great article on RCP! To be on the Fangoria home page for a day was a trip.

I had the pleasure of reading the comic; it’s a really fun read and perfect to get you in the mood for Halloween and playing some classic horror video games. If you grew up playing Resident Evil games and reading zines, this is the comic to check out. The art is very rad, filled with zombies, guts and gore. Also keep your eyes peeled for some Resident Evil easter eggs.

We got a really nice article on Comics Beat. Arpad Okay had a ton of really nice things to say.

Raccoon City Punks has a foundational Cartoon Network aesthetic. The Ralph Bakshi wolf in sheep’s clothing design, old school Harvey style spun out into something so sick that it calls into question who this story is supposed to be for. Scheidt and Mac reach back to visual gags of old, the physical impossibilities of early Looney Tunes cartoons, the squirty body humor of Mad Magazine. But rounder, and more Dexter and Gumball-coded. Mac is creating comics in a world where Mighty Mouse and Nickelodeon and Adventure Time are the past, not the future.

RACCOON CITY PUNKS IS OUT!

Dave Scheidt and me both grew up with Resident Evil. We're nerds for that sweet sweet video game stuff. We previously worked on a Castlevania comic and decided to get back together to make Raccoon City Punks, a story about three skater kids that shred through a zombie infected Raccoon City. Some fan favorites of the series show up and are shown in risograph bright red and black ink glory. Dave wrote the story and our good friend Aaron Pittman helped me color the backgrounds. I printed this comic myself using my SF3150 and am currently printing another round of books. It's a wild, stressful, and rewarding experience printing a book like this using riso. I'll have a way for people to buy these soon. This is the biggest book I've printed using Riso and I'm so freaking happy with how it turned out. The Bright Bloody Red is that perfect, shlocky horror movie red. Really makes the SPLOOT sound effects extra SPLOOTY! nyehe
